Our 2.8" Lil' Bat is similar to a Z-Man TRD "Ned" style bait which has floating plastisol to keep the tail sticking straight up when drug along the bottom on our Toadstool Ned Heads. The tickle tail will slowly Twitch as the bait is drug along the bottom or erratically popped and paused. Another popular technique due to it's "minnow" profile is retrieving it like our phat swimmer swimbaits. All of these techniques provide the ultimate finesse application for aggressive or weary uncommitted bass.
Our color selection allows the Lil' Bat to mimic a wide range of small bite sized foraged species such as a minnow, crawfish, helgramite, or a goby.
We use the same soft floating plastisol in our worms which gives the bait that tail up, nose down feeding position, as the jig head is slowly drug along the bottom or popped eratically, making it irresistible to any sized bass and works great when you need to fill a limit, get a bite, or the fish are just finicky and a downsized offering is needed.
Rigging
Rigging
The ideal rig we've found for these is on one of our 1/16th oz Toadstool Ned Heads. Simply thread the bait onto the Ned head with the tickle tail facing away from the jig head.
Additional Rigging Options:
Ned
Micro Jig Trailer
Neko
Texas
Drop Shot
Underspin
Swimbait Jig Head
Hover Rig
Retrieve
Retrieve
The ideal retrieve is either dragging the bait along the bottom allowing the tickle tail to undulate vertically, swimming and mimicking a little minnow on a steady retrieve, or a pop, pop, pause which will cause the bait to erratically dart up off the bottom and than lay still on the bottom again. They usually bite on the pause.

Perfect size, flexibility, and durability
These neds have a great color to them.
Phat Pack really has gotten their Ned bait just right with the Lil Bat. I fish Ned rigs a fair amount on my local smallmouth lake and often fish Ned trailers on my jigs too. The Lil Bat is tough, floats just enough to get the tail end above the jig head, and the colors -- especially the always 50/50 laminates -- are very clean. The fact that they're a better deal than most of the alternatives is a nice bonus. I like the pointed "stinger tail" shape of the bait. If I want something blunt, I just have to snip off the point. Ned baits aren't all that complicated but they've somehow made this one more versatile -- and at a better price -- than the others.
Seems to be a great plastic bait with some very nice colors.
High quality beautiful pour with the colors to match super impressed 👍👍💪💪💯
