Our 4" ribbed Swamp Monster is similar to the "Rage Bug" and the perfect beaver/creature bait for getting you into and out of tough places. This bait is perfect for flipping into thick cover, reeds, lily pads, grass mats, grass, hydrilla, or any type of cover, where you want to get down into the habitat of the bass. Most bites occur within seconds of the bait entering the habitat.
We've used a medium grade plastisol to give it toughness when being skipped or placed through heavy cover. You'll love it's suppleness, which gives it the action needed to entice the bass into biting.
A single bait has the durability for multiple catches, and in field testing we caught around 4 fish per bait.
The bait is also an awesome trailer when slowly bounced along rock on a wobble head, or used as a jig trailer. It can also be skipped weightless under docks, trees, and overhanging cover, or used as a swim jig trailer and brought through grass. Give em a try, you'll definitely be coming back for more. The ideal rig we've found for these is Flipping or Pitching into heavy cover. Using a baitcaster with 40+ pound braid to a 15lb fluorocarbon leader, slide a 1/2oz or larger tungsten bullet weight up your line, than tie on a 4/0 Flipping hook with a Snell knot, rig the bait weedless so the hook is buried into the cavity of the bait.

When used on a Texas Rig or a Free Rig, cast out the bait, let it hit bottom, and begin a slow side to side drag of your rod, and reel up slack in-between drags while the bait sits still. Try to contact as much rock and bottom structure as possible and while contacting bottom structure make sure to let it sit longer than normal. Usually the bite is on the pause

Use 7' medium heavy fast tip bait casting rod with a 7:2:1 gear ratio bait casting reel. For the line use straight 12-15 lb Florocarbon.

That plastics and colors are phenomenal and already have proven as a producer of quality fish!
As this year is coming to a close I look forward to having Phatpak baits as my go to fishing arsenal for next year.
The swamp monster is perfect for Texas rig. Swimming and flipping. Pure weapon for where they are feeding on crawfish.
I haven't had a chance to fish them yet ! they look very well made . i'm looking forward to using them !
