4" Swamp Monster
Our 4" ribbed Swamp Monster is similar to the "Rage Bug" and the perfect beaver/creature bait for getting you into and out of tough places. This bait is perfect for flipping into thick cover, reeds, lily pads, grass mats, grass, hydrilla, or any type of cover, where you want to get down into the habitat of the bass. Most bites occur within seconds of the bait entering the habitat.
We've used a medium grade plastisol to give it toughness when being skipped or placed through heavy cover. You'll love it's suppleness, which gives it the action needed to entice the bass into biting.
A single bait has the durability for multiple catches, and in field testing we caught around 4 fish per bait.
The bait is also an awesome trailer when slowly bounced along rock on a wobble head, or used as a jig trailer. It can also be skipped weightless under docks, trees, and overhanging cover, or used as a swim jig trailer and brought through grass. Give em a try, you'll definitely be coming back for more. Rigging: The ideal rig we've found for these is Flipping or Pitching into heavy cover. Using a baitcaster with 40+ pound braid to a 15lb fluorocarbon leader, slide a 1/2oz or larger tungsten bullet weight up your line, than tie on a 4/0 Flipping hook with a Snell knot, rig the bait weedless so the hook is buried into the cavity of the bait.

Phat Pak has quickly become my go to for soft plastics. Like their name suggests the packs of baits are bigger than other big name companies, that saves me money. Slightly softer than I would prefer but they work great and are worth the money. Will purchase again after I run out of the ones I ordered. Landing bass on them.
Good to hear on the catches. So our Neds and Worms are softer allowing more hookups and more action. On our creatures and craws and swimbaits we are working on slightly increasing the hardness.
These baits are poured with a neutral buoyancy meaning they don't just sit flat, The appendages float and imitate so much better. The material lasts multiple fish and the colors are great.
We do use a buoyant plastic in all our worms, creature baits, and craws, which keeps the claws floating as the bait sits on the bottom, Tight Lines!!
Ordered some swamp monsters since they are suppose to be more durable than other competitors. Was lucky if I could catch one fish flipping before the bait was destroyed.
This pack of swamp monsters was from an extra, extra soft batch of plastisol sent from the manufacturer. We will get another pak out to you, to replace this one, and throw in some extra baits to make up for your trouble. This has nothing to do with 'Name Brands'. All bait manufacturer's experience bad batches of plastisol. We want to be transparent and let everyone know if there is any issue please let us know, we stand by our products 100% and will replace without any questions. Tight Lines!!
