Hello everybody, Mark here from Northeast Bass Fishing. I’d like to share with what I think is the ultimate bundle pack of Phat Pak baits. I feel you can successfully use these baits on any body of water around the country. I’m teaming up with the guys at Phat Pak Baits to share with you my new bundle pack. Here’s four baits I have great confidence in, and after you try them out, I’m sure you will too.
Pak 1 - 2.8” Lil Bat - Pumpkinseed Gilly 15 Pak - Everybody throws a Ned rig these days, it’s an incredibly productive bait for all seasons. Great for cold water, sight fishing, and deep water summer fishing. I like to rig it on a 1/4 oz. Phat Pak Toadstool Ned Head with the Owner 1/0 hook. The Pumpkinseed Gilly is fantastic color choice that matches small baitfish. Tie it on to a 7’ spinning setup with 6-8 pound fluorocarbon line and hold on!
Pak 2 - 5” Drunkin Shad - Bubblegum - 10 Pak - The Drunkin Shad is a deadly soft plastic jerkbait option that’s great for covering water. I have consistent success rigging the bait on a 4/0 EWG hook on a 7’ spinning setup with 6-10 pound fluorocarbon line. I work it over and around shoreline cover and the bait has a great gliding action that elicits thunderous strikes from hungry bass. The bubblegum color works in whatever water clarity you may encounter, and the smallmouth bass really munch it!
Pak 3 - 4” Skipper Toad - Natural Brown Bullfrog - 5 Pak - If you’re looking for a topwater bait that you can work in and around cover, and also open water, tie on the Phat Pak Skipper Toad. I rig the toad on a 7’6” Heavy casting rod with 35 pound braid. I like to use either 4/0 Super Line hook or an Owner 5/0 Toad Hook (available at Phat Pak Baits). I cast the toad out, and work it back to the boat with a steady retrieve that gets those legs kicking, and the bass just hammer it. All the Phat Pak Skipper Toad colors are solid, but I really like the Natural Brown Bullfrog color when searching for lunkers.
Pak 4 - 4” Swamp Monster - Candy Grass - 10 Pak - I love to flip and pitch shallow shoreline cover and the 4” Swamp Monster is my go to beaver style bait. I rig it on a 7’6” heavy flipping stick with 20 pound fluorocarbon line, a 4/0 EWG hook with a tungsten flipping weight anywhere from 1/4 to 3/4 oz. I’ll target weeds, docks, laydowns, and rock. Anywhere I think a bass might be hanging out. The Candy Grass color is a natural looking color that I can use anywhere and catch them!
Well there you have it fishing fans, four of my favorite Phat Pak baits put together for you in a bundle that will get you bit. With these baits you’ll be able to effectively work all water depths and clarities with confidence. So check out the Phat Pak website and tell them Mark from Northeast Bass Fishing sent you.
