Our 2.8" ribbed Phat Swimmers are known as the "Keitech Killer" due to being our most popular seller and our buyers claiming higher catch rates than using the popular Keitech swimbaits.
It's the perfect little morsel for weary bass, or if you're just looking to get bit. It's ribbed body puts off maximum water displacement triggering the bass's lateral lines and the the paddle tail gives it an awesome side-to-side wobble, bringing the bait to life.
We use a medium grade plastisol providing maximum action but enough durability to allow multiple fish catches per bait.

The ideal rigging option for maximum casting distance and maximum action is drop swimming. Tie a 1/4 to 3/8oz drop shot sinker and a 12" leader up-to a drop shot hook. Nose hook the bait.

When drop swimming, cast and allow the bait to hit the bottom. Begin a slow steady retrieve with occasional rod twitches, this allows the bait to dance as the rod is twitched and when the weight clicks on rocks or brush below, the bait will erratically pop and move, triggering the reaction strike. Another option on this rig is the lift and fall technique. Instead of swimming the bait back, rip your rod tip up high and let it fall on slack line, the bite will usually come as the bait drops.

Use a 7' medium action spinning rod, with a 2500 series spinning reel, with 12lb braid to a 6 or 8 pound fluorocarbon leader.

Can't beat throwing these on a ned EWG, ball head jig, or a finesse Alabama rig!
I caught 6 smallmouth and lost 2 more on the phat swimmer awesome bait will be buying more in the future.
I have been using Phat Swimmers in 3 sizes for the last few years and they are as good or better than similar products and they are a better value.
The action is totally awesome 👍
I have to wait until spring to use these but ordered some phat swimmers and the colors look great but disappointed that all tails are bent in package. Would be nice if they were in a clamshell

Regarding the use of clam shells, this is an intentional trade-off we’ve made to deliver greater overall value to our customers. While clam shell packaging does provide maximum bait integrity straight out of the package, it also significantly limits how many baits can be included. By using bag packaging instead, we are able to provide more baits per pack, which translates to more time on the water, more casts, and better value per dollar for anglers.
This higher bait count is a key differentiator for us compared to many competitors, who often prioritize rigid packaging at the expense of quantity. Our approach is based on the understanding that most anglers would rather have additional baits—especially when fishing conditions, snags, or aggressive bites can quickly go through a pack—than pay more for fewer pieces.
That said, we absolutely recognize the importance of bait integrity. Improving how we preserve optimal bait shape and durability within bag packaging is something we are actively evaluating, and it’s an area we plan to explore further in 2026. Our goal is to continue refining our packaging while maintaining the quantity and value that set our products apart.
