Our Toadstool Ned Jig Heads are hand-crafted, custom-built Ned heads designed around a proven mushroom-style profile with premium hook options and careful attention to detail.

Choose between a medium-wire 90-degree VMC 9147 Aberdeen hook or an Owner 5313 1X Extra Strong hook. Each head is powder coated, baked for durability, hand-finished, and individually inspected for proper coating, hook alignment, and overall quality.

Our durable “No Chip” finish is built to handle repeated contact with rock and hard cover. We also keep powder coating out of the hook eye to maintain a clean, smooth line tie that won’t interfere with your knot.

The VMC option is ideal for finesse presentations, while the stronger Owner 5313 is better suited for bigger fish and heavier cover.

Toadstool Ned Heads pair perfectly with our 2.8" Lil' Bats, 2.8" Beasty Bug Jr.'s, and 2.8" Phat Swimmers. We recommend fishing the lightest weight conditions allow, with 1/16 oz being our preferred starting point for most situations.

Rigging

The ideal rigging is on 6-8lb fluorocarbon or mono filament using a Palomar Knot, paired up with a 1500 or 2500 series spinning reel, and a 6'6"-7' medium action fast tip spinning rod.

Retrieve

The ideal way to retrieve these is to cast out the Toadstool Ned Jig Head, let it fall on semi slack line until the bait and jighead hits the bottom, give the bait a 1-5 second pause, Than either drag the jighead slowly along the bottom with occasional pauses allowing it to stand up vertical, Reel and slowly swim the jighead so the bait looks like a swimming minnow, giving it occasional pauses and pops during the retrieve, or jerk the jighead off the bottom with one or two pops, and let it fall on slack line, resting again back on the bottom.
