Our 6.5" Slinky Worm is the perfect "Trick Worm" for shaky head fishing. It uses our super soft, super boyant plasitsol, which keeps the tail standing up vertically as it's worked along the bottom. Even in a resting position the bulbous tail will slowly undulate, eliciting the strike.

Since we use a very low resin plastisol they are much more soft/suple. This allows each worm to float, gives the worm better action, and allows better hook penetration when rigging.

Rigging: The ideal rig we've found for these is fished on a Shaky Head. 7' Medium light extra fast tip, on 12lb braid to a 6 or 8lb florocarbon leader. 1/4oz Shaky head jig. Cast the bait out, let it fall on semi slack line until it hits bottom, than slowly drag the bait back, keeping contact with the bottom at all times. Periodically stopping the bait, and shaking the rod tip, making the bulbous tail of the bait undulate and flutter as it stands up at a 70 degree angle off the jig head.

Slinky worm 20 pak

I fish the slinky worm in the Phat Pak custom tomato red color. It blows other trick worms out of the water. You can rig it on a heavier wire hook for texas rigging but I use it mostly for dropshot rigs and tipping spinnerbaits. The texture, shape and action work perfectly together. I think this is the only worm that you can cut that still works as a shorter worm. There aren't a lot of baits out there you can cut and they still have great action and be very effective.
I helped them create the tomato color so I would have the exact color that works best for my waters. My water here is really muddy and that's what they seem to like the best.
